We are excited to announce that, from January 2023 East Coast Language College and East Coast International College will be referred to as Oxford International Halifax and Oxford International College Halifax respectively.
Not too long ago, in 2021, East Coast Language College (ECLC) and East Coast International College (ECIC) which comprise of the language school and career college in Halifax, Nova Scotia joined Oxford International Education Group. With the rebranding effective from January 2023,
- The language school name will be changed from East Coast Language College to Oxford International Halifax.
- And the career college name will be changed from East Coast International College to Oxford International College Halifax.
This change highlights the schools’ further integration within the wider OIEG family. We look forward to the continued delivery of exceptional education services and providing support to our existing and prospective students.
We are very proud of our Halifax schools’ heritage and excited to move ECLC and ECIC into a new chapter with a new look and feel. We have embarked on this new brand identity journey to represent better who we are within the Oxford International group. In this transition, we continue to commit to education excellence and to providing the best possible service to our students and partners.
The school will still have the same great staff, programs, and university/ college partners. Our branded materials will be showcasing our new look and colors:

What’s next?
We have many exciting projects in the pipeline including expanding lab classrooms for CCA students to enhance their learning environment.
As we evolved significantly last year, it's crucial for us to expand lab classroom size, so it helps us better serve our current and future cohorts.
This expansion is part of our commitment to providing quality education for every student. The new lab classroom will be equipped with more equipment and a larger capacity that will enable students to apply what they've learned in an exciting, hands-on environment.
This rebranding will not affect any day-to-day operations including admission processes and visa approvals. Our Designated Learning Institution (DLI) number remains the same for the language school and the career college, but with the names below when searching by name.
